Affiliate marketing without a Website; how it’s done.

There are quite few ways that people use to make money through affiliate marketing without a website. Although I usually recommend a website for anyone who wants to get involved in affiliate marketing, there are still a number of ways you can still earn as an affiliate without one.

The key to success with affiliate marketing is to get the affiliate link in front of interested audiences and how you choose to do it is completely up to you! Here are some methods you can use to do affiliate marketing without owning a website; internet marketing for affiliate marketing

1. Post on blogs and forums.

This is a really simple and popular way that is used by many affiliate marketers to get a taste for affiliate marketing; all you have to do is find a product you would like to promote, then start posting on blogs and forums with the affiliate link in the signature. Whichever niche you are in, you should be interacting with others within that niche, and one of the best ways to do so is through forums.

So I suggest that you provide lots of value and information within the forum posts, and within the profile settings, add the affiliate link to the signature. Of course, you should only post on blogs and forums where people would be interested in the product or services you are promoting.

Likewise, you will find that you have a lot more success if you are making interesting posts and if you become a regular member on the particular site or forum. Once you have succeeded to build a trust within that community, people will begin to respect the opinion and will be more inclined to click on the link. Just note that if for any reason you simply spam a blog or forum with useless posts you are likely to be banned and the posts deleted.

There are a few ways you can promote the affiliate link. One way is to add the link to the social media bio. For example, twitter and Instagram both allow you to add links to the profile. For Instagram, it’s even possible to add multiple clickable links to the bio, using this free tool.

Note: Some forums do not allow affiliate links on their platforms, so you need to do the research before you start throwing the link on social media or forums to avoid being banned.

2. Creating YouTube videos.

YouTube has taken the world by storm with one billion unique visitors per month making it a great place to get started with affiliate marketing. All you need is being able to create informative videos to get the channel going. Through YouTube, video has become one of the most popular ways to get the message across online, and so it is a good way to talk about the affiliate product you are promoting in order to get others to purchase from you.

As a rule of thumb, make sure you are providing value and something that the viewers will want to know about. Talk about the product or services and show how the viewer will benefit from whatever you are promoting.

How this works.

Just pick a niche and create a video series related to that topic, with a related affiliate promotion links. That way, the viewers you get will be a lot more likely to be interested in the affiliate products, as they already have some interest to be watching the video in the first place. It does not take much more than a webcam and some informative ideas to get a channel going. That way you can add affiliate links into the description, or over the video, and convert some of that fan base into affiliate profits.

There are two main rules for making YouTube videos:

  • The content has to be of value for viewers.

In most cases if the video is obviously just there for you to make money from a link, you will get listed as spam, and the efforts will become useless. Producing something worthwhile is a lot more successful, and you get the attention and respect of potential customers that way. Therefore, always the viewers should come first and financial gain has to be secondary.

  • Do not be misleading!

If the video is unrelated to the link or the title or description claims something that is not in the video, you are violating YouTube’s policies. This is also something to avoid.

Basically, video marketing on YouTube can be a risk, because affiliate links can get listed as spam, but the best way to avoid this is just to be up front, honest, and useful. Some quality content options could include being Honest, informative product reviews, Instructional videos and Topical discussions.

3. Building a Hub.

A Hub allows you to build a page on a topic, insert ads, reviews and other content as you please. Building a hub is a great way of getting started as an affiliate without needing to build the own website from scratch. A Hub is like a one-page mini website where you can talk about a subject you are passionate about such as the affiliate market and associated products. It is hosted on the Hub Pages site, and you do not need to know anything about web design to make it look fairly professional.

The best part is that hub pages is also part of social-networking site, so simply by being on Hub pages you will begin to attract traffic interested in the topic and looking for recommendations. HubPages is especially easy to monetize. Are you excited and want to sign up and start creating the Hub? Visit HubPages.com and enjoy the ride.

4. Using Pay-per-click advertisements.

These methods involve creating pay-per-click campaigns through search engines like Google and Bing, and promoting the merchant website directly through the affiliate link. So instead of using Pay Per Click to promote the own website, you send them straight to the merchant.

These methods require you to invest some money and they will allow you to reach more targeted audience. This is more likely to give you better results and you can either promote the link on search engines like Google or Bing and Yahoo.

I personally recommend Bing and Yahoo, as there’s less competition. I also recommend using this tool to help you find profitable keywords to add to the PPC campaigns. You do not need a website to promote on these platforms, but you may need a domain name for the link, at least for Bing or Google Adwords.

5. Using a squeeze page.

A squeeze page will enable you to capture opt-in email addresses from potential subscribers which is a great asset for the affiliate marketing business. Therefore, you can promote the affiliate product or services without a website just by driving the traffic to the squeeze page where the potential buyers will opt-in email and finally enter the sale page where you promote the products and if they decide to buy it you make money through commission.

It means if the get more quality traffic through Facebook, YouTube, Forums in the niche etc to the squeeze page, you can earn money easier. While getting traffic to the squeeze page, you are building the list at the same time. The key here is using that list to market to the affiliates again and over again. But you must remember that if you want to sell anything with the email list you need to build the relationship with prospect customers first.

So as we have seen, these are some ways people can earn through affiliate marketing without a website. This post goes into more depth about the options listed above, as well as a few others you might not have thought about. Just note, there are some affiliate networks or programs that will want you to have a website if you choose to join them.

A Piece of Advice!

While it is true that you do not need to own a website to start making money online with affiliate marketing it is a wise idea to have one, not only because some affiliate networks or programs will require you to have a website if you choose to join them but also it will allow you to have a total control over the business for long time. I would recommend Wealthy Affiliate platform if at any point you decide to have your own website because if you join them not only that you will have the opportunity to have two websites for free as a starter member and up to 50 websites for a premium member but also you will get all the training as far as online business is concern.
